(And remember - no sentiment, no win!)

Here's my creation:

Supplies used:
- 25mm Roses from Wild Orchid Crafts
- Pink Cherry Blossoms from Wild Orchid Crafts
- 8 x 8 First Paper Edition Rose Garden Paper Pad
- 6 x 6 Botanical Prima Paper Pad
- 6 x 6 Pink Paislee London Market Paper Pad
- Sizzix Hearts Sizzlits
- Tim Holtz Adage Tickets
- Greeting Farm Hello-Go-Round Stamp Set
- Dovecraft Tea Doilies
- EK Success Carnation Dimensional Flower Punch
- Lace
- From Stamp Art Design, I used the Gracie image (a bonus sentiment is included with this image)

This card contains quite a few layers and I thought I would try something different this time round as I don't normally put a lot of flower embellishments on my card, as I feel it may be a bit crowded. But I really like how this turned out. I didn't colour the image in this time around as I literally wanted the image bare and I thought my skills in colouring would probably mess up the image beyond repair! (I just sometimes have moments when I'm really too heavy handed with my Promarkers!) And I still think it turned out quite sweet and simple and that's exactly how I wanted it to be.

Hope you guys like my creation and as always please have a look at the blog to see the fabulous Team A creations and come back next week for the inspirational post mid-challenge from Team B. Submit your creations in to our challenge this week and you could win some awesome prizes!

Challenge ends: Tuesday 4th June 2013

My Hero!

It's a new challenge over at the Aud Sentiments Challenge Blog and this fortnight it's dedicated to the great men  and guys in our lives - whether they be your partner, husband, boyfriend, male friends or family member. So without further ado, here's your Aud Sentiments Challenge Blog task this fortnight:

We want to see a card or project for a man - with an appropriate sentiment

Our Sponsor this fortnight are Bugaboo

Here is a little bit about them...
"I have been designing graphics for 9 years, mostly for those who digitize, and now venturing into this new idea of digi stamps.   I love to draw and love to see where my designs go and how they are used.   I find making people smile with my graphics very rewarding!  For many many years I drew mostly cutesy kids graphics, a lot of which you’ll find on my site.  But my latest passion is my cranky old boots....
Stella ,Gus, Margaret and the Gals who came after them.
I just LOVE to create them and they seem to be a favorite!
What else can I say?
The name Bugaboo Stamps...how did I come up with it?
Well...... Bugaboo is a nickname i have for my kids sometimes."

So here's my creation:

I picked this image from our sponsors because I thought it would make a great dedication to the lovely guys in my life - so in this my Dad (Hey Dad!!!) and my lovely guy mates (who are awesome and make me laugh uncontrollably! Thanks guys - you know who you are!) - they're all proper 'heroes' for putting up with me! :)

Craft Supplies Used:
- Crate Paper / Paper Heart 12 x 12 paper pad
- X-Cut Square Punch
- 3D Foam dots
- Red Ribbon
- Lawn Fawn Harold ABC Letters Stamps
- Memento Black Tuxedo Ink
- Promarkers (Azure, Ruby, Oatmeal, Henna and Gold)

So this image is actually depicted on a men's tie. So as I couldn't remember what a men's tie looks like when it's someone (I did used to have one at school! A LONG time ago though!) I copied a tie template and draw it onto white cardstock and then copied this onto red paper from the Crate Paper collection. I then cut this out, left a little tab on the top for the ribbon and then coloured, cut and layered my 'Superhero' image on the tie using various other papers from the paper collection and with 3D foam dots. I threaded the red ribbon at the top of the tie and hung this on a coat hanger, so it actually looks like a proper tie!

Hope you guys my little creation, make sure you enter in this fortnight's challenge at the Aud Sentiments Blog. Tell your friends, your followers and any of your crafty friends about our challenges! Join in and get inspired! Check out our DT creations on the blog and as always - Happy Crafting! :)

Challenge ends until Tuesday 23rd April 2013

Girly Sentiments @ Aud Sentiments

Another great fortnightly challenge has just begun on the Aud Sentiments Challenge Blog, so go and check that out on the blog! This challenge we're are looking for....

A card or project with the sentiment for a girl

This fortnight we are sponsored by The Paper Shelter.

Here's a little info about The Paper Shelter:

Paper Shelter produce high quality digital images. Here they explain how the process begins...
It all starts in the traditional manner: With a pencil and a paper.
We always have a list of ideas for our drawings. Depending on our desires, depending of the season and taste of our customers, a new image is drawn.
Not all drawings always go to the second instance. Sometimes we left them archived until a better time. So, counting the drawings that were already traced and those that are pending, today, we have many folders full of images and projects :o) A truly "Paper Shelter"!

If you have the time - pop over to HERE to find out how the process continues - its fascinating!  Quite an education for anyone who has spent time using digi images but never realised all the hard work and love that goes into them!

The prize for this challenge is a $20 gift certificate which is awesome! Thank you so much!

So for this fortnight's challenge, I created this card below:

I created this card using my absolutely favourite cardstock - caramel linen cardstock and layered this with various paper from Dovecraft's Fairytale Princess 6 x 6 paper pad. I used white lace crochet from Wild Orchid Crafts just underneath the image and used some pink cotton lace on the card to use as curtains as the image is focused on a window setting. I used some white bows in the corner of the card and used the Sizzix lace border die sizzlit for the top of the curtains on the card. I used a doily lace border punch from Fiskars for a panel for the bottom of the card, and the sentiment Birthday Wishes was stamped using Lawn Fawn's Harold ABC stamp with Momento's Tuxedo Black ink. Very girly, I think - quite like the result!

So if you've been inspired, please have a look at the Aud Sentiments Challenge Blog and enter in our challenge to win our fantastic prize and share your awesome creativity with us! Let your crafty followers know about our challenge this fortnight and get them to join in too! And while you're on our blog - check out our amazing Design Team creations from Team A.
